SC Collegium Recommends Repatriation of Delhi HC Judge Justice Chandra Dhari Singh to Allahabad High Court

In a recent resolution, the Supreme Court Collegium has decided to transfer Justice Chandra Dhari Singh from the Delhi High Court back to the Allahabad High Court, where he initially served. The decision was made during a collegium meeting led by Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, along with Justice BR Gavai and Justice Surya Kant, held over two days on November 28 and 29.

Justice Singh’s transfer marks his return to his parent High Court, where his judicial career in higher judiciary began. He was first appointed as an Additional Judge of the Allahabad High Court in September 2017 and was elevated to a Permanent Judge in September 2019. In October 2021, he was transferred to the Delhi High Court.
