Justice Arun Bhansali Takes Oath as Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court

On Mondays, the Governor of Uttar Pradesh Smt Anandi Ben Patel administered the oath of Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court to Justice Arun Bhansali, who was Judge of the Rajasthan High Court,

This appointment follows the vacancy created by the retirement of Justice Pritinker Diwaker on November 21.

According to a February 2 notification from the Ministry of Law and Justice in New Delhi, the President has, under clause (1) of Article 217 of the Indian Constitution, appointed Justice Arun Bhansali to lead the Allahabad High Court beginning from the day he assumes office.

Justice Bhansali, born on October 15, 1967, joined the legal profession on July 8, 1989. His judicial career escalated when he was appointed as a judge of the Rajasthan High Court on January 8, 2013. Prior to his elevation, he accumulated extensive legal experience in Jodhpur’s high court, dealing with a range of legal domains such as tax, corporate, civil law, and constitutional matters.

Throughout his nearly 11-year tenure as a High Court judge, Justice Bhansali has penned more than 1,230 reported judgments, contributing significantly to the legal landscape.
