The Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow, marked the successful conclusion of the 3rd Late Shri Guman Singh Rajawat National Law Fest, 2026, with a grand valedictory ceremony held today. The event, which brought together aspiring legal minds from across the country, focused on the integration of academic theory with practical legal skills.
Hon’ble Justice Rajeev Bharti of the Allahabad High Court, Lucknow Bench, attended as the Chief Guest, while Shri Shailendra Singh Rajawat, Advocate at the Allahabad High Court, Lucknow Bench, was the Guest of Honour.
The Importance of Experiential Learning
The ceremony commenced with a formal address by Professor Ashok Kumar Sonkar, who highlighted the academic significance of national law fests in fostering a competitive and educational environment.
In his keynote address, Justice Rajeev Bharti underscored the necessity of such platforms in the modern legal landscape. He observed that these events “play a crucial role in developing skilled and competent legal professionals,” noting that the transition from a student to a practitioner requires a rigorous understanding of procedural nuances.
Guest of Honour, Shri Shailendra Singh Rajawat, further emphasized the value of practical application. He stressed that “practical knowledge” is a cornerstone in shaping the careers of law students, providing them with the necessary tools to navigate the complexities of the legal profession.
Competition Results and Judging
The fest witnessed high-level participation from leading law schools. The final rounds were evaluated by an esteemed panel comprising Senior Advocate Shri I.P. Singh, Shri Ishan Baghel, Shri Manu Dixit, and Shri Shailendra Singh Rajawat.
