UP Urban Building Act: When Tenant Can Deposit Rent in Court? Explains Supreme Court

Last week, the Supreme Court ruled that Section 30 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent, and Eviction) Act, 1972 provides that a tenant may deposit rent in the Court if the landlord refuses to pay rent, but this position only lasts until the landlord expresses his willingness to accept the rent.
