Two Delhi High Court Judges Transferred to Rajasthan and Karnataka High Courts

The Central Government notified the transfer of two judges from the Delhi High Court on Tuesday. Justice Arun Monga has been transferred to the Rajasthan High Court, and Justice Tara Vitasta Ganju has been transferred to the Karnataka High Court.

The notifications, dated October 14, 2025, were issued by the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law & Justice.

According to the official notification for Justice Monga, “In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 222 of the Constitution of India, the President, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, is pleased to transfer Shri Justice Arun Monga, Judge, Delhi High Court, to be a Judge of Rajasthan High Court and to direct him to assume charge of his office in the Rajasthan High Court.”

Similarly, the notification for Justice Ganju states, “In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 222 of the Constitution of India, the President, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, is pleased to transfer Ms. Justice Tara Vitasta Ganju, Judge, Delhi High Court, to be a Judge of Karnataka High Court and to direct her to assume charge of her office in the Karnataka High Court.”

Both transfers were made by the President of India following consultation with the Chief Justice of India, as per the procedure laid out in the Constitution for the transfer of High Court judges. The judges are directed to assume charge of their respective new offices.
