Recently, the Allahabad High Court imposed a fine of Rs 21000 on a District Judge. The Judge had rejected a court clerk’s resignation as he had not given three months’ notice. A disciplinary inquiry was also started against the clerk as he had not given the notice under Rule 4 of Government Service Rules, 2000.
