The Supreme Court has observed that default sentences of a convict can’t be directed to run concurrently. In the instant case, the accused were convicted u/s 3(1)ii,3(2) and 3(4) of Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act r/w Section 120B of IPC and were sentenced to 7/10 years of imprisonment.
