Supreme Court Notifies Benches for Partial Court Working Days from May 26 to July 13, 2025

The Supreme Court of India has notified the schedule for partial court working days during the summer vacation period from May 26 to July 13, 2025. As per the notification issued under Rule 4 of Order II of the Supreme Court Rules, 2013, the apex court will observe limited functioning during this period, with regular court sittings resuming from Monday, July 14, 2025.

The notification, issued by Registrar T.I. Rajput, outlines the constitution of various Division Benches during the partial court working days. These benches will handle urgent matters during the vacation period under Rule 6 of Order II of the Supreme Court Rules.

Registry Timings

During the vacation period, the Supreme Court Registry will remain open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for officers and staff, except for Group-C (non-clerical) staff, whose working hours will be from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Registry will remain closed on all Saturdays (except July 12), Sundays, and other holidays.

This schedule ensures that the Supreme Court continues to function for urgent and important matters, even during the vacation period, through designated vacation benches.
