Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Transfer of Justice Atul Sreedharan to Allahabad High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium, upon reconsideration, has recommended the transfer of Mr. Justice Atul Sreedharan, a Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, to the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad.

The decision was made during a meeting of the Collegium held on October 14, 2025. According to a statement released by the Supreme Court, the resolution was passed after the Government sought reconsideration of a prior recommendation to transfer Justice Sreedharan to the High Court of Chhattisgarh.

The official statement reads: “The Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting held on 14th October, 2025, on reconsideration sought by the Government, resolved to recommend that Mr. Justice Atul Sreedharan, Judge, High Court of Madhya Pradesh, be transferred to the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad instead of the High Court of Chhattisgarh.”
