Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Permanent Status for Three Telangana High Court Judges

The Supreme Court Collegium has officially recommended that three additional judges from the Telangana High Court be appointed as permanent judges, a move aimed at addressing the judicial vacancies and enhancing the court’s efficiency.

The judges recommended for permanent positions are:

  • Justice Laxmi Narayana Alishetty
  • Justice Anil Kumar Jukanti
  • Justice Sujana Kalasikam

This recommendation comes at a critical time when the Telangana High Court is operating with 30 judges, significantly below its authorized strength of 42. This shortfall has left the court with 12 vacancies, impacting its overall performance and case disposal rates.
