Section 102 of CrPC cannot be used to attach the bank account of a person accused under PC Act: SC

Recently, the Supreme Court has observed that a bank account of a person accused under the Prevention of Corruption Act can’t be attached by invoking Section 102 of the CrPC. A Bench of Justices MM Sundresh and Sanjay Kishan Kaul observed that it was not possible to sustain freezing of the bank account of appellants
