SC set aside Order of CAT Convicting Adv Mehmood Pracha for Contempt of Court

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court set aside an order passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal convicting lawyer Mehmood Prach for contempt of court. The Bench of Justices KM Joseph and Hrishikesh Roy ruled that denial of the right to trial as contemplated in the Contempt of Court Act would result in a miscarriage of justice.
