SC Allows Second Round of NEET Examination For Students Affected due to COVID 19

Today, a three-judges bench of the Supreme Court comprising Hon’ble Chief Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde, Hon’ble Justice A.S. Bopanna and Hon’ble Justice V. Ramasubramanian passed their order in the case of The CBSE & Anr vs T.K. Rangarajan & Ors.

An application was filed before the Supreme Court seeking second round of NEET for students affected due to COVID-19 or were residing in containment zone.

The Hon’ble Supreme Court held that the National Testing Agency should conduct a second part of the NEET exam for students who were unable to attend the exam as they resided in a containment zone or if the students got infected with the Coronavirus.

Further the Supreme Court also directed that the results should be announced on 16.10.2020 if possible.

On 12.10.2020, a three-judge bench of the Supreme Court comprising Hon’ble Chief Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde, Hon’ble Justice A.S. Bopanna and Hon’ble Justice V. Ramasubramanian passed their order in the case of The CBSE & Anr vs T.K. Rangarajan & Ors.
