Vacancy Details

According to the notification, the High Court has released vacancies for Junior Stenographer and Assistant Section Officer. Out of the 35 posts for Junior Stenographer, 12 seats are reserved for female candidates. For the Assistant Section Officer, out of 147 total posts, 49 seats are reserved for women.

Age Limit

The age limit for applying for the Junior Stenographer and Assistant Section Officer positions in the Odisha High Court is a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 32 years.

Required Qualifications

Junior Stenographer: Candidates must have a graduation degree in any stream. Additionally, they must have a shorthand speed of 80 words per minute and a typing speed of 40 words per minute.

Selection Process

Junior Stenographer: The selection process includes an English test, followed by a computer application test where candidates must score at least 50%. After this, there will be a typing test. Candidates will be selected based on their performance in these tests.

Assistant Section Officer: The selection process starts with a written exam covering English, Mathematics, General Awareness, and Reasoning. Candidates scoring at least 40% will proceed to the computer application test, requiring a minimum of 50% to pass. The final round is a typing test.

Salary Details

Junior Stenographer: Selected candidates will receive a salary in the pay scale of Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month (Level-7).

Assistant Section Officer: Selected candidates will receive a salary in the pay scale of Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month (Level-9).
