UP HJS Recruitment 2024: Allahabad High Court Extends Application Dates for District Judge Positions

In a significant update for candidates preparing to participate in the Uttar Pradesh Higher Judicial Service (UP HJS) Recruitment 2024, the Allahabad High Court has announced an extension in the application timeline for the position of District Judge. Initially set to commence on February 15, 2024, and conclude on March 30, 2024, the application process has now been deferred, providing aspirants with additional time to apply.

According to an official notification released by the High Court, the new application window will open on March 15, 2024, allowing candidates to submit their forms until the revised deadline of April 30, 2024. This extension marks the second time the High Court has adjusted the application dates for this recruitment cycle, signaling the court’s adaptability to ensure a smooth application process for all candidates.

Prospective applicants should note the mandatory application fee associated with the submission process. The fee structure is as follows: General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay INR 1400, whereas SC and ST candidates need to pay INR 1200. For physically handicapped candidates (PH/Divyang) from the General, OBC, and EWS categories, the fee is set at INR 750, and for those from SC/ST categories, it is INR 500.

Eligibility criteria for the District Judge positions stipulate that candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and have at least 7 years of practice as an advocate. Age criteria mandate that applicants should be no younger than 35 years and not older than 45 years as of January 1, 2024, with age relaxations applicable as per government norms.
