Private Schools Have Right to Admit Students Based on Their Own Criteria But Can’t be Unreasonable, Discriminatory and Whimsical: Delhi HC

In a recent ruling, the Delhi High Court upheld the right of private schools to admit students based on their own criteria.  However, the court emphasised that admission criteria must be “reasonable, rational, and non-discriminatory” and cannot be “whimsical or arbitrary”.  The court also stated that admission procedures must adhere to an “objective and rational”
