Parliamentary Committee Calls for Major Reforms in Legal Education Oversight

In a significant move towards judicial reforms, the Parliamentary Standing Committee has proposed that the Bar Council of India (BCI) should limit its role to determining the basic qualifications for practicing law, with no regulatory authority over higher legal education.
