The Maharashtra political crisis has reached the Supreme Court, with rebel Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde filing a writ petition challenging the Deputy Speaker’s disqualification notices issued to rebel MLAs for proceedings under the Constitution’s tenth schedule over alleged defection.  Today, the matter will be heard by a vacation bench consisting of Justices Surya Kant
