Advocate Khaja Aijufudin had filed a letter petition before Chief Justice of High Court of Telangana and sought CBI enquiry into the murder of a lawyer couple.

The letter further states that the couple was hacked to death as they used to file PILs on behalf of the oppressed.

The letter also states that even though the High Court had extended police protection to them, the police deliberately and intentionally failed to oversee the couple’s security.

Vehicle in which the lawyer couple was travelling was intercepted on Wednesday by the assailants when they returned to Hyderabad after attending a matter in Manthani.

Multiple men stabbed the couple in broad daylight, and the couple was rushed to the hospital, where they eventually died.

The assailants armed with swords and knives stopped the couple’s car and then murdered them in broad daylight.
