Coochbehar. A case has come to light on a lawyer for trying to rape a housewife by entering her house. The incident took place late Thursday night in Bhotbari area of Mekhliganj block. After the incident, the accused Rabiul Islam was caught by the relatives of the housewife and handed over to the police. On Friday morning, the police arrested the accused on the basis of the complaint lodged against him.
According to the information received, the husband and son of the housewife work in another state. The housewife lives alone in the house with her son’s wife. The mother-in-law of the housewife had gone to her father’s house on Thursday. Finding the house empty late at night, the accused entered the house of the housewife. Then tried to rape.
On the screams of the housewife, the relative caught the accused. The accused was thrashed fiercely. Later the police of Mekhliganj police station was informed. After getting the information, the police of Mekhliganj police station reached and caught the accused and took him to the police station. After this late night the housewife lodged a written complaint against the accused at the Mekhliganj police station. On the basis of which the police arrested the accused and started further action.
