Juvenility Will be Determined by the Accused’s Age on the Date of crime, not the Date of arrest, Rules Meghalaya HC

On Monday, the High Court of Meghalaya ruled that to decide juvenility of an accused age of the accused on the date of crime is relevant and not the date when the accused was arrested. As per Justice W Diengdoh, in cases where an accused is absconding, it might be years or months before arrest
