The Orientation Course (Final Stage) for Newly Promoted District Judges (Entry Level) 2024 was held today at the Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy, Bilaspur, under the esteemed leadership of Hon’ble the Chief Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha, High Court of Chhattisgarh. Orientation Course will start from 23rd, June, 2025 till 28th, June, 2025.
In his keynote address, the Hon’ble Chief Justice congratulated the participating officers on their well-deserved promotion and emphasized the significant responsibilities they now shoulder as custodians of justice at the district level. He highlighted that the role of a District Judge is not only administrative and judicial but also deeply ethical, requiring wisdom, patience, and compassion.
The Hon’ble Chief Justice underlined the importance of continued judicial education, stating that “orientation programs like this are essential for refining legal insight, reinforcing core judicial values, and preparing officers to handle complex legal and human challenges with balance and integrity.” He further urged the officers to adopt a judicial temperament rooted in fairness, empathy, and accountability. He also stressed the need for timely and reasoned judgments, courteous courtroom conduct, and a people-centric approach to justice delivery.
The Hon’ble Chief Justice stressed that in recent times, we have witnessed a transformation in judicial working—e-filing, virtual hearings, digital records, and AI-assisted tools. As future-ready judges, you must not only adopt to these changes but lead by example in integrating these advancements to make justice more accessible and efficient. Judicial learning is lifelong, and humility is its companion. Uphold the majesty of the law and the faith that people have reposed in the judiciary. To all the participating judges—may this course provide you not just with legal insights, but also with inspiration and conviction to carry out your duties with wisdom and grace.
The Inaugural Session was also graced by the presence of Hon’ble Smt. Justice Rajani Dubey, Judge of the High Court of Chhattisgarh and Chairperson Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy.
The Orientation Course aims to enhance the leadership skills and judicial capacity of newly promoted District Judges, enabling them to lead their respective courts with excellence and integrity. The event was attended by the Registrar General of the Chhattisgarh High Court & Registry Officers.
