The Jharkhand High Court on Thursday directed the respondents in a case challenging the recent Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) elections to file their affidavits in response to the allegations raised by petitioner Nandu Patel.
Patel, who had contested for the post of vice president in the elections held on May 18, alleged that the poll process was manipulated and conducted in violation of the association’s bylaws. He claimed that irregularities in voting procedures had compromised the legitimacy of the results.
Acting on the petition, the High Court instructed the respondents—including the newly elected office bearers—to submit their detailed responses. The matter has been listed for further hearing after six weeks.

In the contested elections, Ajay Nath Shahdeo was elected president of JSCA, with Sanjay Pandey and Sourabh Tiwari assuming the roles of vice president and secretary, respectively.
