IT Act Does Not Preclude the Application of IPC in Cases Where the Offences Are Not Adequately Addressed Under the IT Act: Bombay HC Full Bench

In a significant legal development, the Bombay High Court has reaffirmed the concurrent applicability of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) alongside the Information Technology (IT) Act in cases pertaining to cybercrimes.  This ruling came in response to a reference by a division bench seeking clarity on the interplay between the provisions of the two statutes.
