Recently, the Delhi High Court upheld the decision of the Additional Sessions Judge and Metropolitan Magistrate and granted interim maintenance to the wife. However, the Court reiterated the Supreme Court’s decision that just because the wife is qualified and has the calibre to make a living, it can’t be grounds to reject a maintenance claim.
