HCBA Terminates Membership of a Lawyer, Who filed Case During Strike

The Allahabad High Court Bar Association has terminated the membership of a lawyer, who filed a case through e-filing mode, despite call of strike by the association.

In its resolution dated 01.03.2021, the HCBA recorded that despite call of strike by the Bar Association, Sri Sunil Kumar (Chaudhary) has filed a case through E-filing mode, therefore his membership is being terminated by unanimous vote. 

It has further been recorded that if the lawyer fails to apologize before the President of the Bar before 12 Noon of 02.03.2021, the HCBA will recommend the Bar Council of UP to terminate his enrollment.

The Allahabad High Court Bar Association is protesting against the establishment of an Education Tribunal at Lucknow.

On the other hand Awadh Bar Association of High Court at Lucknow is also on strike for the last 7 days and agitating its grievance with respect to constitution of GST Tribunal at Lucknow and enlargement of Territorial Jurisdiction of High Court at Lucknow.

The Awadh Bar Association also has warned its members that if any lawyer violates the resolution of Bar Association then his membership shall be cancelled.
