On Wednesday, the Kerala High Court took suo-motu cognizance of a news report that indicated that the accused (a Assistant Sub Inspector) demanded money from parents to release their girls from a children’s home. Justice Devan Ramachandran said that if the allegations are true then this is a serious case and was a dangerous game.
