HC Can’t Conduct Mini Trial While Deciding Application U/s 482 CrPC, Rules Supreme Court

The Supreme Court on Monday ruled that, No Mini Trial Can Be Conducted By High Court While Deciding The Application Under Section 482 Cr.P.C. The bench of Justices M. R. Shah and J. B.V. Nagarathna stated that, High Court has quashed the criminal proceedings by observing that there was no loss to the Excise Department.
