In the aftermath of the tragic Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, the Gujarat State Legal Services Authority (SLSA) has launched a dedicated 24-hour helpline to assist the victims and their families. The initiative is being carried out under the guidance of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Suryakant, Judge of the Supreme Court of India and Executive Chairman of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), and under the stewardship of Hon’ble Chief Justice Mrs. Justice Sunita Agarwal and Hon’ble Mr. Justice A.Y. Kogje of the Gujarat High Court.
The helpline numbers—079-25512033 and 6357981043—are being operated in coordination with the Ahmedabad City Civil Legal Services Committee. Through these lines, victims and their families can seek assistance for a wide range of needs, including obtaining passenger details from various agencies, issuance of certificates and essential documents, and access to legal services.
In addition to the helpline, the SLSA has also set up a helpdesk at the Permanent Legal Service Clinic in Shahibaug, Dafnala. This facility will provide in-person support and guidance to families for availing services from different government and non-government agencies with appropriate coordination.
