The 75th Republic Day was celebrated at the High Court of Gujarat with a number of development and welfare initiatives in addition to the flag unfurling ceremony performed in the lawns of the High Court.
Hon’ble the Chief Justice Mrs. Justice Sunita Agarwal, along with the companion Hon’ble Judges of the High Court of Gujarat, after the flag unfurling and salutation ceremony, inaugurated a Medical Checkup Camp organized at the Medical Facility of the High Court of Gujarat for the members of the Staff and the Ld. members of the Bar.
The Medical Checkup Camp facilitated varied health parameters consultation and checkup for ENT, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Laboratory Investigation, Diabetes and Hypertension etc. Total of 361 such checkups were availed by Staff, their family members and Ld. members of the Bar. 31 Blood donations were also received.
Under the aegis of the Health Department of State Government, the teams from Sola Civil Hospital, GMERS Medical College and Hospital, Gandhinagar along with the team of doctors of the Medical Facility Centre of the High Court rendered their expert services to the beneficiaries of this camp.
With the guidance of Hon’ble the Chief Justice and being inspired from the success of such welfare initiatives, it is intended to organize such camps on all important events of the High Court of Gujarat.
After the aforesaid programme, a virtual inauguration function was held for inauguration of newly constructed Court Complexes of following Taluka Courts of the various Districts of the State:
Taluka Court Building of Karjan, District Vadodara Additional Court Building, Chikhli, District Navsari Taluka Court Building, Khergam, District Navsari Additional Court Building, Limbdi, District Surendranaagar Civil Court Building, Jhagadia, District Bharuch Civil Court Building, Dolvan, District Tapi
Stone laying ceremony was also virtually held for the new Court Complexes to be constructed for Taluka Courts of Waghai, District Navsari and Taluka Court and residential quarters at Vaso, District Kheda. A statue of Mahatma Gandhi installed at the District Court of the Porbandar District, was unveiled in this virtual programme. Hon’ble the Chief Justice along with the companion Hon’ble Judges inaugurated the aforesaid infrastructural projects of the Gujarat Judiciary
