On Wednesday, the Calcutta High Court observed that an FIR is an information that is made at the first instance and it is not an encyclopedia therefore, the courts should not be scrupulous about the omissions in the FIR. Observing thus, the court upheld the conviction under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences)
