Congress Candidate Divyanshu Buddhiraja Denied Relief: Fugitive Declaration Case Hearing Scheduled for May 7

Divyanshu Buddhiraja, the Congress candidate from Karnal and President of Haryana Youth Congress, has not received relief from the High Court regarding his declared status as a fugitive. Buddhiraja had appealed for the cancellation of an FIR and a fugitive declaration order registered in Panchkula. His lawyer assured the court that Buddhiraja would soon surrender to the trial court, following which the punjab Haryana High Court postponed the hearing until May 7.

According to the petition, Buddhiraja was declared a fugitive in 2018 in Haryana following a complaint against him for erecting a flex board criticizing unemployment under Chief Minister Manohar Lal. The Panchkula court declared him a fugitive for not complying with the legal processes.
