Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha Virtually Lays Foundation Stone for District & Sessions Court Building in Kondagaon

Bilaspur, 14 May 2026: Reinforcing the commitment towards infrastructural development of the Judiciary, the Virtual Bhoomi Poojan and Laying of Foundation Stone Ceremony for the construction of the District & Sessions Court Building, Kondagaon (C.G.) was held on Thursday, 14 May 2026 at Krishi Upaj Mandi Parisar, Kondagaon, District-Kondagaon (C.G.). The ceremony was virtually performed by Hon’ble Shri Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice of the High Court of Chhattisgarh, whose gracious presence made the occasion memorable.

Addressing the gathering, Hon’ble the Chief Justice emphasized the importance of modern judicial infrastructure in ensuring efficient administration of justice and providing better facilities for Judicial Officers, Advocates , litigants and Court staff. His Lordship observed that the establishment of well-equipped Court buildings contributes significantly towards enhancing the effectiveness, accessibility and transparency of the justice delivery system. His Lordship further stated that such developmental initiatives reflect the continued commitment of the High Court of Chhattisgarh towards modernization and infrastructural growth of the Judiciary across the State.

The programme was held in the august virtual presence of Hon’ble Shri Justice Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal, Judge, High Court of Chhattisgarh and Portfolio Judge, District Kondagaon (C.G.).  

Also present on the occasion were Registry Officers of the High Court of Chhattisgarh, District Collector Kondagaon, Principal District & Sessions Judge Kondagaon, Superintendent of Police Kondagaon, Judicial Officers, Members of the Bar, Court staff and other dignitaries.  

The programme commenced with a welcome address delivered by Shri Khilawan Ram Rigri, Principal District & Sessions Judge, Kondagaon (C.G.). A video presentation showcasing the proposed District & Sessions Court Building, Kondagaon was also displayed during the programme.  

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Smt. Reshma Bairagi Patel, Civil Judge Senior Division & Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kondagaon (C.G.), who expressed gratitude to Hon’ble Judges, Officers and all stakeholders for their valuable support and cooperation in the successful conduct of the programme.  

The ceremony marked an important milestone in the ongoing efforts of the High Court of Chhattisgarh to promote robust judicial infrastructure and facilitate a more efficient and citizen-centric justice delivery mechanism across the State.
