Breaking: Kangana Ranaut’s Movie ‘Emergency’ Will Not Release This Friday, Due to Pending Certification- CBFC Informs MP High Court- Hearing Continue

In an unexpected turn of events, the much-anticipated release of Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film Emergency will not premiere this Friday as previously scheduled. According to a statement given by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) before the Madhya Pradesh High Court, the film’s certification is still pending, causing an indefinite delay in its release.

The CBFC’s statement, submitted during a hearing in the Madhya Pradesh High Court, highlighted that the film had not yet received the necessary certification to be released in cinemas. Without this certification, the film cannot be legally screened, pushing back the release date indefinitely.

Emergency, directed by and starring Kangana Ranaut, has already generated significant buzz due to its portrayal of a controversial period in Indian political history. The film explores the events during the Emergency period declared in 1975, focusing on key political figures and decisions that shaped modern India. Given its politically charged content, the delay in certification raises questions about the film’s potential impact and the reasons behind the holdup.

Neither Kangana Ranaut nor the production team has released a statement regarding the delay.
