Bibhav Kumar Files Complaint Against AAP MP Swati Maliwal for Alleged Trespass and Assault

In a developing conflict within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s assistant, Bibhav Kumar, filed a complaint on Friday against AAP MP Swati Maliwal. Kumar accused Maliwal of illegally entering the Chief Minister’s residence, creating a security breach, and subsequently attacking him.

The controversy escalated earlier in the day when Maliwal lodged an FIR against Kumar, alleging that he physically assaulted her by slapping and kicking her in the chest and abdomen. The dueling complaints have stirred significant public and media attention.

According to Kumar’s complaint, detailed in a statement released on AAP’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Maliwal forced her way into the Chief Minister’s residence under false pretenses of having an appointment. “Swati Maliwal forcefully and unauthorizedly entered the Chief Minister’s residence… She not only breached security but also created a ruckus and assaulted me,” the complaint stated.

Kumar described the sequence of events, explaining that Maliwal was asked by security to wait for verification of her alleged appointment. Upon learning there was no such appointment, she was denied entry, yet proceeded to enter forcefully, contrary to the objections of the security staff.
