Bengaluru Lawyers Association Writes to CJI in Protest of Out-of-Turn Listing of a BJP MLA’s Bail Petition Before the HC

On March 7, the Advocates’ Association of Bengaluru (AAB) wrote to Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud, protesting the preferential listing of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Madal Virupakshappa’s anticipatory bail application before the Karnataka High Court. The High Court granted anticipatory bail to Virupakshappa, who is facing corruption charges, on March 7, Tuesday.
