The Bar Council of India (BCI) has officially declared the results for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 20 today, January 7, 2026. According to the official notification, the overall pass percentage for this session has been recorded at 69.21 per cent.
Along with the results, the BCI has also notified the schedule for the upcoming AIBE 21, set to be conducted in June 2026.
Result Overview and Qualifying Criteria
Candidates who appeared for the examination can now access their results and download their scorecards through the official website, allindiabarexamination.com, using their login credentials (User ID and Password).
The Council has clarified the methodology used for the calculation of results. The result has been calculated on the basis of 95 marks. To qualify for the examination, the following criteria were applied:
- General and OBC Category: Candidates were required to score a minimum of 43 marks (45 per cent of 95 marks).
- SC/ST and Persons with Disability (PwD) Category: Candidates were required to score a minimum of 38 marks (40 per cent of 95 marks).
While the overall pass percentage and key statistics were released earlier via a press release, the link to download individual scorecards was activated subsequently on the official portal.
Statistical Highlights of AIBE 20
The AIBE 20 examination was conducted on November 30, 2025, across 399 examination centres located in 56 cities throughout the country.
The BCI released detailed participation statistics for the exam:
- Total Candidates: 2,51,968
- Male Candidates: 1,65,613
- Female Candidates: 86,336
- Transgender Candidates: 19
AIBE 21 (2026) Examination Schedule Announced
In addition to declaring the results for the 20th edition, the Bar Council of India has proactively released the schedule for the AIBE 21 (XXI) 2026. The next examination is scheduled to be held on June 7, 2026.
