On Thursday, the Supreme Court clarified that under Rule 17 of 2021 Draft Criminal Rules regarding the practice that the High Court has said should be read as a mandate for furnishing bail to the prison concerned and the concerned prison should furnish the same to the accused on the same day as the pronouncement.
