Allahabad HC acquits a rape-murder convict after observing there is no worthwhile evidence to prove charges

Recently, the Allahabad High Court rejected a reference that was made to it to confirm the death penalty given to a man who is accused of burning alive a 14-year-old girl after raping her. The Bench of Justice Manoj Misra and Sameer Jain acquitted the accused after noting that there is not any worthwhile proof
