Bilaspur, September 2, 2024 — The National Conference of the District Judiciary, a landmark event hosted in Delhi, marked a significant milestone for judicial officers across India, particularly for the contingent from Chhattisgarh. This conference, held from August 31 to September 1, 2024, commemorated the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Supreme Court of India and underscored the vital role of the judiciary in upholding democratic values and justice.
In a prestigious gathering hosted by the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India, Shri Justice D. Y. Chandrachud, the conference witnessed participation from numerous esteemed members of the Indian judiciary. Among them were 22 judicial officers from the State of Chhattisgarh, led by the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the High Court of Chhattisgarh, Hon’ble Shri Justice Ramesh Sinha. Their presence underlined Chhattisgarh’s dedication to reinforcing judicial processes and capabilities.
The active participation of Chhattisgarh’s judicial officers demonstrated the State’s commitment to judicial excellence and innovation. The inauguration of the conference was a momentous occasion, with the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, serving as the Chief Guest. Addressing the assembly, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi lauded the judiciary’s pivotal role in preserving the Constitution and protecting citizen rights. The valedictory ceremony was graced by Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu. In her remarks, Hon’ble President, Smt. Droupadi Murmu emphasized the judiciary’s indispensable contribution to nation-building and urged officers to sustain their commitment to justice, fairness, and impartiality.
