Don’t Rely on RTI Replies, They Are Not Reliable: Supreme Court

On Friday, the Supreme Court orally remarked that information obtained through the Right to Information Act (RTI Act) need not be necessarily reliable, and advocates should refrain from citing the same while arguing cases. This observation was made by a Bench of Hon’ble Justice AM Khanwilkar and Hon’ble Justice Sanjiv Khanna while hearing an appeal
