Chhattisgarh High Court Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha Virtually Inaugurates District and Additional Sessions Court, Family Court Camp Court at Bhilai-3

As an important step towards bringing justice closer to citizens and expanding judicial facilities, the District and Additional Sessions Court and Family Court (Camp Court–Additional Sitting) at Bhilai-3 were virtually inaugurated today.

Virtual Inauguration at the Hands of the Hon’ble Chief Justice:-

On this occasion, Hon’ble Shri Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice, High Court of Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur, in the august presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Naresh Kumar Chandrawanshi, Portfolio Judge, District Durg, virtually inaugurated the District and Additional Sessions Court and Family Court (Camp Court–Additional Sitting), District Durg, situated at Bhilai-3.

This inauguration is an important initiative towards making the availability of judicial services more accessible in the Bhilai-3 region. With the commencement of the District and Additional Sessions Court and the Family Court Camp Court–Additional Sitting, citizens of the region will have access to a more convenient and nearby judicial forum for judicial proceedings.

Hon’ble Chief Justice Delivers the Keynote Address:-

Thereafter, Hon’ble Shri Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice, delivered the Keynote Address. He expressed his views on the occasion while linking it with the expansion of judicial services.

This expansion of judicial facilities at Bhilai-3 is a step towards strengthening the spirit of accessibility, reach and citizen-centric justice in the justice delivery system. In particular, with the commencement of the Family Court Camp Court–Additional Sitting, there will be a positive impact towards enabling parties involved in matters relating to family disputes to avail judicial facilities at the local level.

Welcome Address by the Principal District and Sessions Judge:-

The programme commenced with the arrival of the dignitaries, as per the scheduled programme. Thereafter, Shri K. Vinod Kujur, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Durg, delivered the Welcome Address.

In his address, the Principal District and Sessions Judge stated:

“Bhilai-Three is an important and rapidly developing region with a growing population and diverse legal requirements. The vision and guiding thought behind the establishment of the dedicated Courts have been greatly inspired by the visionary leadership and guidance of the Hon’ble Chief Justice. The establishment of the Courts at Bhilai-Three is, therefore, a reflection of His Lordship’s vision of a more accessible, responsive, and citizen-centric justice delivery system.”

A Glimpse into the Judicial Future of Bhilai-3:-

Immediately after the virtual inauguration, a brief video relating to the District and Additional Sessions Court and Family Court (Camp Court–Additional Sitting) being commenced at Bhilai-3 was displayed. Through the video, a glimpse of the proposed judicial facility and its nature was presented before those present.

This presentation was not merely information about a new judicial facility, but also became a visual introduction to a new beginning towards bringing the justice delivery system closer to the people.

At the end of the programme, Smt. Suman Ekka, Principal Judge, Family Court, Durg, delivered the Vote of Thanks. She expressed her gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Justice, Judicial Officers, Administrative Officers and all concerned persons who contributed towards making the programme successful.

The commencement of this new judicial facility at Bhilai-3 is an important step towards “bringing justice closer to the people.” This initiative not only reflects the expansion of judicial infrastructure but also underlines the commitment towards a smooth, accessible and citizen-centric justice delivery system in accordance with the changing times.
