Centre Clears Appointment of 19 Judges to Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, and Gauhati High Courts

In a significant move to strengthen the higher judiciary, the Central Government has cleared the appointment of 19 individuals — including both advocates and judicial officers — as judges in the High Courts of Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, and Gauhati.

Telangana High Court

Two advocates have been appointed as Additional Judges of the Telangana High Court:

  1. Gouse Meera Mohiuddin, Advocate
  2. Chalapathi Rao Suddala Alias S. Chalapathi Rao, Advocate

Madhya Pradesh High Court

Eight advocates have been appointed as Judges of the Madhya Pradesh High Court:

  5. Bhagwati Prasad Sharma

Gauhati High Court

Five individuals, including judicial officers and advocates, have been appointed as Additional Judges of the Gauhati High Court:

  1. Pradeep Mittal, Judicial Officer
  2. Anjan Moni Kalita, Advocate
  3. Rajesh Mazumdar, Advocate
  4. Pranjal Das, Judicial Officer
  5. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Judicial Officer

These appointments come following the recommendations of the Supreme Court Collegium and are part of the ongoing efforts to fill judicial vacancies across various High Courts in the country.
