Cabinet Approves Appointment of Technical Members for GSTAT Benches in Uttar Pradesh

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of three Technical Members (State) to the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) for benches located in Uttar Pradesh. The appointments were made on the recommendation of the Search-cum-Selection Committee.

According to the official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, the following individuals have been appointed for a term of four years or until they attain the age of 67 years, whichever is earlier:

1. Vivek Kumar – Retired Member, Commercial Tax Tribunal, Bench-II, Lucknow, U.P. (Date of Birth: 28.06.1964)
   
2. Ananjai Kumar Rai – Currently serving as Member, Commercial Tax Tribunal, Bench-IV, Varanasi, U.P. (Date of Birth: 01.01.1967)
   
3. Arvind Kumar – Retired Additional Commissioner (Grade-I), Ayodhya, U.P. (Date of Birth: 29.03.1965)
   

All appointees will draw a monthly salary of ₹2,25,000.

The order was signed by Kundan Nath, Under Secretary (EO-SM.I) and communicated to the Department of Revenue as well as the Prime Minister’s Office and the Cabinet Secretariat.
