A two-minute silence will be observed across the Allahabad High Court and its Lucknow Bench at 10:30 AM on 25 April 2025 to honour the memory of those who lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. The directive was issued by the Registrar General of the High Court and further circulated by Additional Advocate General of Uttar Pradesh, Mr. V.K. Shahi, to all State Law Officers and the staff of the Government Advocate’s office in Lucknow.
In accordance with the instructions, the observance will commence with the sounding of a siren at 10:29 AM, signalling all present to stand in silence. The two-minute silence will conclude with another siren between 10:32 and 10:33 AM. Judges, advocates, court officials, and all others present in courtrooms and the registry are expected to participate.
The tribute aims to express solidarity and pay respects to the victims of the act of terrorism in Pahalgam. This coordinated gesture of remembrance is being observed simultaneously at the principal seat in Allahabad and the Lucknow Bench.

The notice has also been sent to key functionaries, including the Chief Justice’s Secretariat, the Bar Associations of both benches, the Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh, and all concerned registrars and protocol officers to ensure widespread observance.
