A significant judicial decision is pending as the Special Court for MPs and MLAs in Karnataka has reserved its order in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam case, which implicates Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and several close associates. The verdict is scheduled to be pronounced on April 3, 2025.
The case unfolded when complainant Snehamayi Krishna lodged allegations of irregularities within the MUDA, directly involving the Chief Minister, his wife Parvathi B M, her brother Mallikarjuna Swamy, and another associate, Devaraju. The court session on March 26 saw the complainant herself presenting arguments against the B-final report—a closure report submitted by the investigating officer.
During the hearing, Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) Venkatesh Arabatti argued for the necessity of additional investigations under Section 173(8) of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), citing precedents set by the Supreme Court to bolster his case.
With the legal arguments concluded, the court has now scheduled April 3 as the date to deliver its final judgment.
