Impostor Posing as High Court Judge’s Son Avails VIP Amenities at Resort, Police Lodges FIR

In a startling incident of deceit, a young man in Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh was discovered masquerading as the son of a judge from the Allahabad High Court, exploiting all possible amenities and protocol to his advantage.

The high court took swift action upon uncovering the fraud, and by the directive dated March 4, 2024, the Honorable Chief Justice ordered legal proceedings against Rishabh Sharma, son of Vishwanath Sharma, for the deceptive act.

Following this directive, the District Judge of Bahraich instructed the Chief Judicial Magistrate to lodge an FIR under the relevant sections of the law against the accused.

According to the FIR, Rishabh Sharma, falsely claiming to be the son of a High Court Judge, enjoyed VIP treatment at the Savariya Resort, exploiting the facilities to their fullest.

The police have initiated an investigation, filing charges under sections 417, 419, and 420 of the Indian Penal Code against the accused for the fraudulent act.
