SC Rules Registration of Hospitals Cannot be Cancelled Under U/Sec 20(3) of PC&PNDT Act Unless Appropriate Authority believes that it is necessary or expedient so to do in the public interest

In a recent landmark judgment, the Supreme Court of India delivered its verdict on the interpretation of powers vested in the appropriate authority under the Pre-conception and Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (Regulation & Prevention of Misuse) Act, 1994 (PC&PNDT Act). The case revolved around the suspension of registration of a hospital, “Dev Hospital,” situated in Ahmedabad.
