Important cases heard in the Delhi High Court on Tuesday, November 28:
* HC imposes Rs 2 lakh as costs on BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover in the matter related to his alleged defamatory social media posts against the fintech company even as he tendered an apology for his conduct.
* HC asked the police here on Tuesday to decide by tomorrow a plea moved by Mission Save Constitution, an organisation, for permission to hold the “All India Muslim Mahapanchayat” at the Ramlila grounds next month.
* HC rejected a PIL against an Indian Army advertisement mandating CLAT-PG 2023 score as an eligibility qualification for induction of law graduates into the Judge Advocate General Branch (JAG) branch.
* HC sought the stand of the Centre and city government on a petition challenging provisions allowing only female candidates to apply for admission to B.Sc (Hons) Nursing courses offered by AIIMS, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and Delhi University.
* HC said that banks ought to respond in a diligent manner to requests for information made by cyber cell of police authorities and asked the RBI to state if there are guidelines for them in respect of compliance of orders by police or courts.
