While hearing the bail application of Shamser Ali of Budaun, the Allahabad High Court asked the Inspector General of Police (DGP) of Uttar Pradesh why criminal records should be password protected. The High Court has asked the DGP what other remedial measures can be taken in its place if people are unable to reach it.
